Dear host family, My name is Vancy. A young beautiful lady who is 22 years old. I was born in Kakamega a small town in Kenya, a beautiful country in East Africa and Africa as a continent. I live in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. I am an open-minded, hard-wordworking,dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient, passionate and responsible person. I love taking care of kids and their health, safety, and happiness are the most important to me. I was raised in a large nuclear family comprising of 9 members. I am the eldest in my family. I have two brothers and 3 sisters and I love them so much. My mom and dad live in the upcountry with my siblings while I live in the city. I often miss them since the distance from the city to my village is a 12 hours drive. However, we often talk through phonecalls and video calls. I cherish and value my friendships; choosing to surround myself with loyal and fun people. I have 3 people whom I regard as my best friends. They are so dear to my heart and always offer a shoulder to lean on at all times. I have pursued a Bachelor's degree in Education (French and History) from Kenyatta university. I am a teacher of french and I teach part time. I love cooking,traveling, learning new languages and different cultures, meeting new people, and definitely making memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations. My greatest strength as an Aupair is the ability to bond really well with kids and also blending in very easily and as a result being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big sister, also the ability to learn from my mistakes. On the other hand, I would describe my weakness as an Aupair is that I find it hard letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children especially and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them. I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one 1year or more depending on the connection formed with the family. I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you.
