KAREN, 25 ÅR

Dear Host Family, I’m very excited about getting to know you, but firstly I want to introduce myself to you and hopefully to make your decision easier…. I’m Karen Joy but you can call me karen for short. I’m 25 years old and I live in Lamut a small town of Ifugao , Philippines with my Family. We are 5 Siblings and I'm the Oldest Child. I finished my degree course Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering with the financial support of my aunt, older sister of my mother who is OFW at Hong Kong. I was in high school when I’m dreaming going abroad but now with your help, this dream could be come true. I’m happy that my family supporting me about this plan going abroad as au pair because they knew that there’s a lot of opportunities waiting for me there. I would describe myself as caring, loving, friendly, trustworthy, helpful and positive girl. I’m a person with a strong-will and determination. In my spare time, I love listening any kind of music, watching movies, surfing in internet and make some drawing. I also love singing. The reason why I want to be an au pair is to gather valuable memories living with a new family in a foreign country, to see your children grow and learn, meeting new people and new friend and experience the way of life of different culture. It would be great experience for me to share my life with your family become more independent and have a self-confident and spending time with you and your kids. Especially to earned money so that I can also help my family specially my siblings who are still studying. Experience working with children: When I was about 13 years old, I have looked my 3 little brothers. When my father and mother are busy I’m the one who take care of them. And during the quarantine days, my cousin called me to look after her child who is 5 mos old because she is busy in her work that time, and now she is already 4 years old with me. I also company her when she wanted to watch because sometimes she was afraid but she like watching horror movies. And buy some snack. I also teach her to sing and dance.
