We are a loving family of five living in the beautiful countryside of Karup J., Mid/West Jutland, seeking a responsible and caring au pair to join our family for 12 months starting January 2025. Our home is situated on a spacious 50-acre property, offering a peaceful Danish countryside experience. Our Family: • Parents and three wonderful girls (5 months, 2 years, and 4 years old) • English and Danish speaking household • Christian values, though we welcome au pairs of all backgrounds • One friendly semi-outdoor cat Location & Surroundings: • 5 km to Karup J. (nearest town) • 10 km to Kjellerup • 22 km to both Silkeborg and Viborg (major cities) • Perfect balance of peaceful countryside living with easy access to urban amenities Accommodation: We offer comfortable, private accommodation in our activity hall building, complete with: • Private room • Private bathroom • Private kitchen • Independent living space while being close to the family Main Responsibilities (25-30 hours/week): • Morning routine: Helping our two older girls prepare for daycare/school • School runs: Drop-off and pick-up duties • Childcare: Caring for our 5-month-old baby during parts of the day • After-school activities: Driving children to various activities • Occasional evening and weekend care during work-related events • Light housework • Possibility to join family travels and assist with childcare during trips We're Looking for Someone Who: • Has a valid driver's license (essential) • Possesses previous childcare experience • Holds a first aid certificate (Førstehjælpsbevis) • Is well-organized and good at planning daily routines • Has a warm, caring personality • Is reliable and responsible • Can communicate well in English • Swimming ability preferred • Comfortable with cats What We Offer: • Competitive monthly salary according to Danish au pair standards • Private, independent living space • Opportunity to experience Danish family life • Chance to improve Danish language skills • Beautiful countryside location • Supportive family environment • Integration into family activities and travels We value organization, responsibility, and most importantly, a loving approach to childcare.
