STEPHEN, 28 ÅR

Dear host family, My name is Stephen, but family and friends call me Bob . I am 26 years of age and I live in mombasa, a coastal region in Kenya, a beautiful country in Africa. I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible person. I love kids and iam very comfortable being around them. Teaching them and making sure of their safety and most of all happiness are the most important to me. I come from a small family, i have two brothers , and iam the second born. It’s one year now since i moved out to my own apartment 10 miles away from my family. My father works in a security company while my Mother runs a shop. I am very close to my family even though i moved out i still visit twice or thrice a week. we also call everyday to check on each other. I have close inner circle of friends who are also viewed as ‘family’ .I cherish and value my friendships; choosing to surround myself with loyal and fun people. I studied certificate in hospitality management at East Africa Institute of Certified Studies and am yet to advance in future. I also attended Entrepreneurship and lifeskills classes. I love travelling and learning different cultures, meeting new people, and definitely making memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations. I would describe my strength as an Aupair as the ability to bond really well with kids and also blending in very easily and as a result being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big brother, also the ability to learn from my mistakes. On the other hand, I would describe my weakness as an Aupair is that I have a hard time letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children especially and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them. I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a short or long time stay with my host family, for 6months or more depending on the connection formed with the family. I really am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
