Dear host family My name is Queen Mulandi a 25 year old from Kenya in the city of Nairobi. My current location now is Kenya but willing to relocate and explore as early as Jan(2023).Am enthusiast of all things happy and healthy.Am very interesting, bubbly, motivated, happy, passionate, humbled, kind,loving, easy going, mature, experienced and well organized Au Pair with a bachelor degree in Education. I come as an easy going and adventurous lady. I got a drivers license, I can swim, passport is ready,first aid knowledge and a great experience in childcare,caregiving,nanny and tutor which I have gained through my work experience. Am very fluent in English and Swahili. I know a little French and German since they were some of the subjects I did at high school but never continued to the last grade. I have grown to love children and what I do. Have dealt with all level of children from kindergarten to high school. Currently taking care of six children age:4,5,7,11,14 and 16 after my homeschool work.I pick them from school, tutor them for two hours and help them with simple chores. Weekend we do extracurricular activities together. Just to give a glimpse of my childcare experience, I worked at a daycare during our long holidays in university and I used to do babysitting as a part time job after classes during the year 2015-2018.After I finished my degree, I found my first work as a kindergarten teacher assistant and I was later promoted to a grade five teacher from 2019 to 2020 before covid. During covid season, I went back to doing homeschooling and a live out part time nanny upto 2021 when schools reopened at our country. I dealt with all levels from kindergarten to high school. Present I work as a homeschool teacher and I take care of six children after work. Kindly check my pictures for vivid reference. Through teaching I discovered my passion for childcare. I want to be a childcare-worker because children make me so happy. Am very young at heart and they bring the inner child in me.I see many smiles when with children as we learn together. I have a skill of communicating complex information in a simple and entertaining manner for a child to understand. I can engage children in homework assistance, art and craft, counting and numbers, sounds and letters, drawing and cutting, book reading, mind games and activities , songs and poetry.Painting and skipping. As experienced high school teacher , am capable of teaching, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geography, Mathematics, History and English language very well. I have delivered great results. Am very patient with children. Through my experience with them have managed to gain the following skills. Emotional development, guidance and counselling, first aid knowledge, great communicator, child development and cultural immersion. Am also familiar with scratch programming environment for kids. Am skilled in all household chores including meal preparation (I can make great recipes for kids and family), cooking, laundry, organizing, shopping, washing dishes, gardening, taking care of pets and potty training for toddlers.Have been with agencies like Cultural Care and World Voyage but as age is catching up I know chances are getting slimmer that's why am here now. My hobbies include book reading mostly when am doing it with youngins. , researching, working out, playing games like scrabble with kids, travelling and language exchange. Am a bubbly , adventorous girl with a great sense of homour even when working under pressure. One of my long term goals for childcare, is starting a foundation to help and rescue street children in Kenya. Am seeking a family where I can live my passion and purpose of being a childcare-worker.
