Hello! My name is Amy Ndunge and I am a 25-year-old psychology student from Kenya with a deep passion for children and cultural exchange. As the eldest of four siblings, I have gained extensive experience in caring for children from a young age, which has shaped my nurturing and responsible nature. I am currently pursuing a degree in psychology, and I believe that my academic background enhances my understanding of child development and behaviour. This knowledge, combined with my hands-on experience, allows me to provide attentive and thoughtful care to children of all ages. Being Kenyan, I come from a rich cultural heritage that I am excited to share with your family. In addition to my love for children and learning about new cultures, I have a variety of hobbies that I believe will make my time with your family enjoyable and enriching. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and cycling, which I find are great ways to explore nature and stay active. I also love reading, and would be excited to foster a love of reading in your children by sharing stories together. I’m a creative person who enjoys arts and crafts, and I love involving kids in fun, hands-on projects that allow them to express their creativity. Additionally, I have a passion for cooking and baking, and I would be thrilled to introduce your family to some Kenyan dishes or learn and prepare your favourite meals together. My reason for applying as an au pair goes beyond just childcare; I am eager to immerse myself in a new culture and become an integral part of a family where we can learn and grow together.
