JYLLE CLARISSE, 25 ÅR

Dear host family, First of all I would like to thank you that you take the time to read my letter. I am looking for a host family to stay with and would be happy to have me as part of the family. I am very excited about getting to know you. My name is Jylle. I am 24 years old. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Political Science in 2022. It was always a great dream of mine to live and work in a foreign country and learn different cultures. I like to discover new things, people, places, and culture. I grew up in a small town in the Philippines. I came from a family of 6. I have 3 siblings. 1 older sister and 2 brothers. I am the third born in the family. My parents are both live in the province. My mother works as a public school teacher. She teaches elementary students in our small community while my father is a retired seafarer. I enjoy having quality time with my family. My parents and siblings are enormous part of who I am and I have a very loving relationship to all of them. All of us in the family also are animal lover. We have 4 dogs, 7 cats and 1 bird and we considered them as part of the family. I would like to describe myself as a loving, caring, hardworking, fun, easy-going, helpful, trusthworthy and responsible person.My hobbies are singing and dancing, I love modern and cultural type of dance. Aside from dancing I also love singing. Filipinos love to sing karaoke and it is part of the Philippine culture. In my free time I also enjoy watching comedy and horror movies and I love going to the beach to watch sunset with my friends because it is a great way to relax. Also I have always had a deep interest in working with children. My experience in the childcare began when I was at a young age. I don’t have any kids of my own, but I have one nephew. My eldest brother had a beautiful baby boy in 2011 when he was only 18. He became a father in such a young age. I became an aunt for the first time when I was the age of 11. It was crazy to me that at only 11, I was going to be an aunt. Being an aunt, I started understanding how becoming a parent is. At a young age I learned mommy’s duties as well and never thought I could be such a cool aunt. When his parents are tired, As an aunt, I will always be there to fill in. I am involved in my nephew’s life and one of the most meaningful activities that I take part in is caring for my nephew. When he was still little I became his playmate, I prepare his favorite food, I help him with his homework and became his tutor when his parents aren’t at home. I loved caring for my nephew and I love watching my nephew grow. I take that task with great responsibility. Being an aunt from such a young age has taught me a lot of life lessons earlier on in life. I have learned the value of responsibility. Babysitting became my hobby and my patience became more extended as well. It is a great practice run for the future. It has prepared me to one day have a child of my own. It is truly beautiful to watch life be born and grow. Becoming an Au pair sounds like great opportunity to meet new people from a new country. As an Au pair, I am excited to learn more about childcare, while also immersing myself in your family’s culture. I am looking forward to being an Au pair and also a family member in your family and contribute to the well-being and development of the children. I am eager to be an active member of your family and would be happy to participate in family activities and help you with household tasks while also embracing the opportunity for cultural exchange.
