As an aspiring au pair, I'm excited about the chance to experience a new culture while offering a host family loving childcare support. As someone who loves to travel, learn, and make new friends from different backgrounds, I saw the au pair program as a chance to fully immerse myself in a foreign language, country, and way of life. Let me share a little bit of myself, My name is Mae, 24 years old, I am from the Philippines but I am currently working as an English Kindergarten teacher in Thailand for 10 months now, teaching kids ages 2-5 years old. My job here in Thailand is not just a teacher but also include: setting up the classroom, changing diaper, prepare milk and lunch for kids because they will sleep in midday, bath the kids if necessary and getting the kids ready for bed because they sleep at midday. I also have childcare experience way back in the Philippines, I take care of 2 kids ages 2 and 5 years old. My task includes cleaning the house, prepare foods for the family, ironing, laundry, bath the kids, play outdoor activities, transporting the kids to school, help them with their homework, teach them how to be grateful, love them. I bring a genuine love for kids, real-world childcare experience, and a dedication to creating a secure, friendly environment for kids' development. In addition to childcare, I'm looking forward to developing close relationships, sharing customs, and making enduring experiences with my host family. Hope to find a host family soon.
