Welcome to our little valley. We live 5 kilometers from the nearest small town. Its not really a town but more of a local community. But we have there a kindergarten, preschool, elementary school, college, dentist, bank, grocery shop, police station, norwegian language school, gass station, flower center, photograph studio, etc. We live in the countryside, so owning a car and drivers license is required. There are no public transportation. The nearest town is 35min by car and the big city and seaside is 45-60min by car. We often take trips to the big city for aqua park, zoo, shopping, visiting family, restaurants, the beach, and many more. We do have a local freshwater beach here that is very nice. And one the summer it gets hotter here than by the sea. We have great mountains to go hiking. Lots of outdoors activities. We are a family of 5. We love the outdoors in the summer, fall, winter and spring. We love barbecue, sushi and roasting marshmallows outside in the winter. We love skiing and travelling. We also love baking inside on rainy days and chilling in front of the tv watching disney films. The job the au pair is required to do is driving the children too/from kindergarten, preparing meals, bath time, bed time, diaper change( but not much, she is about to quit diaper). Taking care of the children when mom and dad is at work in evening and nights. Any light housework. The au pair do require to work at evening and nights. But when dad is home from work for 4 weeks the au pair gets a lot of free time. Our expectations for the au pair is thet she can take care of 3 children with patience, consistency, love and devotion. Take care of their needs and egnonidge their feelings. Be a big sister. The au pair will have own room with a big bathroom and live in a separate place in the house with own entrance. We would like the au pair to start as soon as possible, but we know that it would take at least 3months to apply for visa to Norway.
