Dear Au pair
We are a Danish family looking for an au pair.
About us:
We are a happy family of 4 persons, 1 adult (mum) and 3 sweet children. Boys (tweens) at 11 years and a girl at 12 years. The children are in full time school. When they are off from school they are active, playing football, and dancing. The mother is a medical doctor working in the hospital in Roskilde.
We´ve had au pairs before and used to having an extra family member.
Roskilde is a lovely city. We live in a nice house, nearby the towncenter, trainstation and the harbour. Going to Copenhagen is just 20 minutes by train.
Expectations:
We are looking for an energetic, honest, positive and flexible person who likes and has some experience with children. We like the au pair to be engaged with the children, talking to them, playing games and helping them with their tasks.
We also need your help for cleaning, general housekeeping including the laundry and preparing dinner. The children are used to having an au pair and they know the “routine”. They are easygoing and had good relationships with former au pairs. We are looking for a person who wants to take part in our lives, who likes to be with us and find the pleasure in familylife.
We would like you to speak English with the children, so learning Danish is not a must from our side, but of course a plus if you know the basics. If you want you can take language school. In the house you will have your own room which is actually the best in the house.
We are looking for a person who is planning to stay with us for at least 12 months but we would prefer 24 months. From our part we will do our best to welcome you in our family. We are looking forward to meet you.
