WARIKA, 23 YEARS

Dear host family Greeting from Thailand with sunshine! :) I’m Warika from Thailand, a 23-year-old teacher with a Bachelor degree in English Education. Currently, I’m working as an English teacher. I have spent over two years teaching them at Thanakhan Oomsin school (The reference can be provided if needed) I've taught children in 3th and 5th grade and also 7-8th graders. This experience will help me in taking care of your children because I know how to deal with lots of different kids. Some of my students are quiet and some of them are more confident. Also I’ve experience with small kids when I was helping to take care of my cousins. So I know that they all need to be treated different and I know what makes them learn and behave well. I really enjoy working with different kids and it makes me feel good to see them grow up. I registered for this website because I really want to be an au pair in Europe. I want to let you know more about me and why I would like to be an au pair. I really love children and decided to learn about English Education at university. I was excited about working with kids so I went to be a teacher for my career. The main reason is to improve my language skills. I believe being in a country where English or the third language are spoken more will be a good thing . It will make me a better teacher for my students back home. And with all my experience and skills will be very useful to be great Au pair and perfect match for your family :) What do I expect from the host family? I want the chance to learn a lot about your language, your culture, and how you live the life. It will be my first time living abroad. So I hope that you can be patient with me. I’m very excited about it. I’m always wanting to learn new things and I would describe me as a happy and confident person. I think my job as a teacher and love for children make me a good person for an au pair. I hope you'll like me. I would be very happy to hear from you. Sincerely, Warika My personality I'm a cheerful person who loves to learn new things. I'm always looking for ways to make learning fun for my students. I love spending time with children and helping them learn. I'm patient, kind, and understand that every child learns in their own way. I think my personality makes me a good person for being an au pair. My education At university, I studied English Education. This course taught me how to teach English to children. I learnt about things like lesson planning, making classes fun, and understanding how children learn. It also gave me the chance to practice my own English. What I do in my free time In my free time, I love to take care of animals. We have nine dogs and one cat. They are fun to play with! I also like taking pictures. It can be anything like people, places or my pets, and I like arts and making crafts. I also spend time making lessons for my students. It helps me think of new ways to help them learn. And when I need to relax, I watch English movies. This is fun and helps me with my English too. Even though I grew up, I still like watching Barbie, cartoon, anime or animation. These are the things I love to do when I am not teaching. My experience with kids For the past two years, I have worked as a teacher at Thanakhan oomsin school in Thailand. Every day, I teach English to students in 3th, 5th, 7th and 8th grades. I really enjoy it but I am young and would like to live abroad and learn the language for once in my life. In my job I have to be patient and kind. I have learned how to make lessons fun and interesting for my students. I know that every child is different. Some learn fast, some do not. But every child can learn and I can help them. In your home, I will use my teaching skills to help your children learn. I will be patient and make learning fun for them. I can even teach them how to play the clarinet or the electronic keyboard! My language skills My main language is Thai, but I also speak English. I have studied it at school and university. I use English every day because I am an English teacher. My English reading skills are pretty good. I can read books and newspapers. I can listen to English movies and understand most of it without subtitles. My English speaking is also okay but I want to make it better. That's why I want to be an au pair. I also understand some basic grammar. My motivation I want to be an au pair because it is a chance for me to improve my English. I love teaching English in Thailand but I know that my skills can be better. I think being an au pair in a place where people speak English will help me a lot. I can learn more about the language and the culture too. This will not only be good for me but it will also be good for my students. I can bring back what I learn abroad and use it to teach them better. I am willing to leave my job, not because I don't like it, but because I want to become a better teacher. And being an au pair can help me do that. My expectations I hope to find a host family who is kind and friendly. I would like to learn about their way of life and culture. I also hope to have a good relationship with them. Like a real part of the family. I don't expect them to teach me cooking but if they could help me improve at it that would be great. I would like to learn about how to cook European food. Most of all, I hope to get chances to practice my English and their language. I am sure all these will make me not only a better au pair but also a better teacher for my students in Thailand. My family and friends I come from a large family in Thailand. We are six people at home. We also have many pets. We all love animals and have nine dogs and one cat. My family and friends think of me as caring and outgoing. I am really close to my family and spend a lot of time with them. They have always supported me in pursuing my dreams. My family and friends are happy for me and think that it is a very good idea for being an au pair. I will miss them but I will go back to Thailand after one year and will see them soon Other important information I love trying new food and I am excited to learn new recipes.
