CARING, LOVING, RESPONSIBLE SWEDISH AU PAIR SEEKING FAMILY OVER THE SEA!
Dear family,
My name is Amanda Åslund. I'm a simple and caring lass at the age of 21, from and currently living in Sweden. I’m interested in being an au pair for the first time and I hope I could be just the right person for your family. I live up north at the country side in Sweden with my family of six, but recently my newborn nephew made our family tree a little bit bigger. We are a very close knit bunch, and I absolutely view myself as a family and people oriented person – they mean a lot to me.
I have a lot of experience working with children and young adults of all ages, including cases which require special care. Amongst other things I’ve worked as a teacher at our local school and as a special needs assistant, including for children with autism, helping with studies, homework and general support. I’ve been a substitute at the local kindergarten, as well as the geriatric care and homes for the elderly, so I suppose you could say that I absolutely know I want to work with people and that’s where I am comfortable. Like most youngsters who started working while they are still in school I’ve also had the occasional shop job.
Now I find myself wanting to experience another culture, and to see and experience something new. I’m a driven person and the idea of combining what I love to do, helping people, with a new adventure in life sounds like a solid match. I know being an au pair is an important job that takes work on both sides, but I am a quick learner, a flexible person and people in general describe me as kind, warm hearted, open minded, reliable and always wants to make people laugh and smile. Combining education with working and having a big family has also, I like to think, made me responsible and capable despite my young age.
My hobbies include spending time with friends and loved ones, but I’m also very interested movies, books, sports and gaming. If your children are interested in video games, books, sports or such, I will know exactly what they’re on about. Exercise is something I do regularly and health awarness is very important to me.
As for skills I have a CAE-certificate (Certificate in Advanced English from Cambridge) in English, and beyond my native language of Swedish I have a basic understanding of other Scandinavian languages. I do have some capacity in French, Spanish and German, and while not fluent I am willing to learn if required. I have a driver’s license and I’ve lived in my own apartment ever since I was 18 y/o, meaning I am no stranger to household chores or what’s required to keep a home tidy and organized.
I hope to find a caring, nice family who wants to make the au pair experience as best as possible for everyone involved. I would love to hear from you, and if you have questions please do not hesitate to contact me! Thank you so much for reading, and have a fantastic day.
Love, Amanda.
