JOHN, 23 YEARS

Hi, JP here from Cape Town! Short for John Phillip. Currently a university student studying business management fully online. I have approximately a year's babysitting experience, including looking after kids with special needs. Back in 2020 I completed a TEFL course and have helped several beginners improve their English conversational fluency. I'm independent-minded but at the same time family-orientated and would like for a host family to treat me as part of their family and a big brother for the children, rather than someone who simply looks after them. I consider myself more of an introverted, laidback person but able to stand my ground when needed. I have many interests and hobbies, some of which include traveling, photography, ice skating, watching sports and anything music-related. Admittedly, as tempting as a day indoor sounds, I'm always looking for an excuse to get outside, even if that means simply taking a walk. Hiking and just exploring in general is something I love to do. I'm fluent in both English and Afrikaans, which has many similarities to Dutch, but I'm eager to expand my knowledge of other languages.
