IRISH, 23 YEARS

I’m Irish Damasco, a Filipina 23 years old currently here in netherlands and im looking for my second host family. I am from the Philippines a place known for its rich culture and warm hospitality. Growing up in such an environment has instilled in me a strong sense of community and a deep appreciation for cultural exchange. I am eager to share my own culture with your family while immersing myself in yours. I would describe myself as a sweet person, responsible, flexible, calm, kind, friendly, easy-going, open minded, patient, and honest person. I have a wide range of interests and hobbies that I believe would enrich my time spent with your family. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and do camping and going to the beach, which I believe would be perfect for exploring your local area. I am also passionate about cooking and would love the opportunity to share meals with your family, exchanging recipes and culinary traditions. My dream has always been exploring the world while meeting new cultures and people by doing one of the things that I really love! One of my greatest passions in life is working with children. I have had the privilege of gaining valuable experience in childcare through various avenues, including babysitting for family and friends, with newborns and toddlers because of my nieces and nephews. I enjoy taking care of them. These experiences taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and creativity. I have a lot of experience in terms of childcare. When I was 15 years old and was in high school, I did babysitter in 2 kids in Manila for a month and the kids is under 4-year-old and 9years old. I making sure they’re ok, I make foods paying attention at what they’re doing, what they are talking about and that’s something I’m always doing, paying close attention at what they are doing and talking specially if they are with others kids and at the same time ,doing that lets me get to know them better cause I get to see and identify little things about them. I also do cooking, cleaning the house, do laundry and do dishes and still proud to say ALL ROUNDER JOB or Student nanny. And when I was 20 years old and a second-year college student, still pandemic that time and we don't have face to face class I decided to go in Pampanga to work as babysitter. Where I take care of three children: a 6-year-old, a 9- year-old, and a 12-year-old who is autistic. Each child presents unique challenges and joys, contributing to a dynamic and fulfilling work environment. From the energetic playtimes with the 6-year-old to the engaging conversations with the 9-year-old, However, it is my time spent with the 12-year-old, who is autistic, that has truly deepened my understanding of patience, empathy, and unconditional love. And now im currently taking care of 2 boys here in netherlands .One is 6 years old and the other one is 9 years old boy with ADHD . Beyond childcare duties, I seamlessly transition into household chores, embracing responsibilities such as cooking, dishwashing, and laundry. My days begin at 5 am, tackling the laundry to ensure a fresh start for the family's day ahead. This early morning routine sets the tone for the day, emphasizing my commitment to efficiency and thoroughness in all tasks undertaken. I strive to maintain a balance between nurturing the children's growth and ensuring a harmonious home environment. Whether it's assisting with homework, preparing nutritious meals, or tidying up after playtime, I approach each task with dedication and attention to detail. The appeal of the au pair program goes beyond travel and cultural exposure; it embodies personal growth, cultural exchange, and a deep love for childcare. My passion for working with children is the core of my interest in the program. Through babysitting, I've developed patience, empathy, and communication skills, fueling my desire to positively impact young lives. Additionally, the chance to immerse myself in a new culture excites me. Coming from a diverse background, I'm eager to explore different traditions and perspectives firsthand. Moreover, the program offers a path to personal development. Stepping out of my comfort zone and navigating foreign environments will foster resilience and adaptability, shaping me into a more globally minded individual.
