JUDY, 23 YEARS

Judy for short. I am 23 years old, female, single, and currently based in the Philippines. My mother is a housewife, and my father is a farmer. I have three brothers and two sisters, and I am the youngest among my siblings. During my college years, both of my parents did not have permanent jobs, so I decided to become a working student to support my education financially. I stayed at my eldest sister's house. On weekdays, before going to school, I would do household chores, such as cleaning the house and preparing breakfast. On weekends, I would wash clothes and take care of my nephews and nieces by monitoring them, organizing activities, preparing meals, and accompanying them to and from school. This was my routine every week. Through this experience, I became very close to my family and cherished the time and love we shared together. Finally, all the sacrifices and challenges I faced throughout my life have paid off. I successfully earned my Bachelor of Science in Forestry and passed the 2024 Forester Licensure Examination. In my free time, I enjoy doing household chores, playing with pets like dogs and cats, and spending time with my nieces and young neighbors. Talking, laughing, and playing with them makes me feel happy and fulfilled. I also love cooking and experimenting with new recipes. I describe myself as an open-minded, friendly, organized, loyal, faithful, and responsible person. Becoming an au pair is not just a job it’s a life-changing adventure. It’s a way to step out of my comfort zone and embrace a new chapter where I can grow emotionally, intellectually, and socially. Caring for children, helping a family, and immersing myself in a new culture align with my passion for meaningful connections and sharing the warmth, values, and traditions of my own. I want to use my natural nurturing skills and adaptability to not only support my host family but also learn to navigate life’s challenges in a new environment. It’s about creating a family bond in a foreign land and discovering parts of myself I’ve yet to meet."
