JAHZMYNE, 23 YEARS

Dear Future Host Family, My name is Jahzmyne Jaime, but you can call me Bambi or Bam bam. I am a 23-year-old I was born on April 23, 2001. I am Filipina currently residing in General Santos City, Philippines. I graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University. I come from a family of five: my parents, Relly (53) and Rosalie (51) my older sister Jahzeel (25) and my younger brother James (20). My father works as a technician, and my mother is a housewife. Only my younger brother are still studying in college and pursuing him dream to become a priest. In the next year or two, I plan to pursue a higher degree in Psychology, although I have yet to decide on my area of specialization. Before returning to my academic path, I would like to gain some life experience and have time to reflect on my future professional goals. Spending a year abroad as an au pair would give me the opportunity to immerse myself in a new culture and experience family life in a different setting. My native language is Tagalog, I speak bisaya and Ilonggo as my dialect at home but I am also fluent in English and have a basic understanding of Dutch. I began learning English in primary school and it has been the primary language of instruction throughout my education, including at university. I am particularly interested in experiencing life with a host family abroad because it offers a unique cultural experience. I am eager to live with and work for a family, especially in a childcare role, where I can continue developing my skills. I have experience in both formal and informal childcare settings. As part of my university studies in child psychology, I completed a one-month internship at a children’s home, where I provided after-school tutoring and participated in various activities such as singing, dancing, games, art projects, and outdoor excursions with children aged 5 to 10. Additionally, I helped care for my niece for nearly three years and have tutored students. Growing up, I also helped my parents taking care for my younger brother and doing household chore with my older sister, and I have always enjoyed spending time with children. I also active in our church as a catechist during Flores De Mayo and as a liturgist In my free time, I enjoy simple pleasures such as spending time outdoors, walking, visiting new places with my friends, doing TikTok Video and Vlogs. I am looking for a live-in arrangement with a host family that would appreciate my assistance for at least a year. I am open to caring for children aged 0 to 15, and I am also happy to assist with elderly care if needed. I describe myself as Respectful, Honest, funny, Organized, trustworthy, Sweet, Caring, Flexible. I am hardworking, I possess good moral character, I am willing to accept changes and listen for improvement.
