GLORIA, 20 YEARS

Dear Future Host Family, My name is Gloria, i'm 19 years old, and i'm from Nigeria. I recently graduated from college, where i studied English Education also a native English speaker. I started volunteering at the age of 15 and have been working with children ever since then. During my volunteering experience, i worked with kids aged 0-3, where i took care of them, sang with them, and engaged in activities that promoted their development. When i turned 17, i began teaching kids aged 6-12, where i developed engaging lesson plans and helped students improve their English language skills. I taught English language, history and Christian religious studies at a high school where i volunteered and worked as a part time teacher. And also i worked in a daycare where i assisted with daily activities and cared for young children. As the oldest daughter in my family, i've also had the opportunity to care for my sister, cousins, and niece, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of building strong relationships. I'm a good communicator, enthusiastic, and patient, which I believe are essential qualities for caring for children. In my free time, I enjoy cycling, reading, cooking, and listening to music. I'm excited about the opportunity to experience life in your home, learn about your culture, and share my own with your family. I'm looking forward to engaging in activities with your children, and introducing them to new experiences.
