JULIA, 24 YEARS

Dear Host Family, my name is Julia, and I’m a 24-year-old from Kenya. I am the eldest in my family, with three sisters and one brother. Growing up, I’ve always been hands-on in helping with household tasks and taking care of my younger siblings, especially my 5-year-old sister, whom I take to and pick up from kindergarten. I have experience working with children in various settings. I’ve volunteered at a local kindergarten, assisted in teaching children at my church, and cared for less fortunate children at a children’s home. These experiences have helped me develop a deep passion for working with kids and a patient, caring, and organized nature. I love learning about new cultures and believe becoming an au pair is an excellent way to immerse myself in a different culture while contributing to a family. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, singing, and spending time with family. I’m disciplined, responsible, and adaptable, qualities that I believe are essential for this role.
