Hello, My name is Faith from Kenya. The reason why I want to be an Au Pair is that I will have an opportunity to meet different people, learn and understand a new culture. Furthermore, I will have a chance to learn different Scandinavian languages. Apart from that, be part of a beautiful family that would be able to teach me new and wonderful things. Am the firstborn of five siblings hence since I was a kid, I took care of them. Therefore, I know how to deal with kids and set boundaries in an adult pleasant way. Moreover, I know how to play with kids and take good care of them. I was a nanny for an Italian family that were living in Kenya for a year. I was responsible for babysitting, feeding, and washing the baby. Besides that, I would do laundry and iron the clothes. Furthermore, I would clean and disinfect the apartment. Sometimes I would help in the preparation of the meals. Am a flexible person and I have the ability to learn new things quickly. Am passionate about everything I do. I love cooking and catering to others as a way of showing love and care for them. To be honest I have experience in making Kenyan dishes only. I love traveling, I was in Thailand in March and this summer I will be traveling to Norway to go and meet my friends in Oslo. I love watching movies and hiking. Moreover, I like hanging out with friends and family. I am a scientist researcher and I love science with passion. I love listening to podcasts about the latest discoveries in science, specifically in genetic engineering and the biotechnology field. I have a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry and in the future am planning to do a master's in biotechnology. Despite my education, it’s really hard to get a job here in Kenya and that’s why I want to be an Au pair abroad. I have a two-bedroom apartment in Nairobi and am the one who does all the household chores. An opportunity to work as an Au pair will help me grow professionally and personally, will have a chance to experience Scandinavian culture, traditions, and lifestyle.
