ASHLEY, 18 YEARS

My name is Ashley, and I am 18 years old, from Murang'a, Kenya. As I apply for au pairing I hope to get a second family. My hope is to build a relationship that goes beyond the typical au pair arrangement. Just like how, here at home, taking care of my siblings isn't work, it's my responsibility and it doesn't have a time off. And how when I want to go out I need to communicate with my parents so that we make the best arrangements considering everyone. Also how handling basic chores like cleaning up and preparing meals and helping with anything around the house is just part of my responsibility as a daughter. I am a firstborn with two younger siblings. I completed high school in 2022 and have spent time exploring various opportunities to understand my interests and career goals better. I am excited to become an au pair because I believe it will be a wonderful opportunity to be part of a second family!!,a new culture, learn a new language. I'm sure my time with you, my host family would be the best as we'd get to exchange cultures and make so many fun memories! I am passionate about children and find it so easy to bond with them.
