SIGRID, 20 YEARS

Hello future host family,I presume your well. My name is Sigrid,and I am twenty years old. I live in Nairobi but not mainly in the city. Currently I am studying in a language school that is a few kilometers from home. I love learning new languages outside my native one and that is why I want to pursue my interests in foreign languages . Foreign languages caught my attention since I was a little girl so I started learning the basics and currently am in elementary level, Deutsch A2 . The main reason that I want to try out this program was the beautiful and amaizing cultural exchange one gains from this. Myself am a Kikuyu but I have had interactions with the Maasai,Borana,Kamba and many more cultures I couldn’t list that are here in my home country. I have been in a rotary club and still am. It is a world wide club known for helping others out. I first joined this club because of the love I have for service to other and that is why I always say service above self. Above all this am a discplined woman and find no difficulty in completing tasks, with that I am very helpful around the house and work with my full potential. I love children so much and its also why I considered to be an au pair, myself having an older brother and two younger sisters that I took care of growing up when our parents were out for most times. I also loved the times I took care of my niece since she was just an infant. I really enjoy the company of children alot and love the vibrant vibes they bring along with them. I am not certified for this but with atmost assurance am a good childcare giver and have alot of love for them. I am also very friendly and interactive. It would be an honor to live and have the taste of a different culture outside my homeland. To know the way things are done and how things work around in different parts of the world. I am really looking forward to meeting you all, to know you and get to enjoy each other’s company. To build new relationships and find a place for each other to call home.
