HIDAYA, 23 YEARS

My name is Hidaya. I'm 22 years old. I am a student pursuing diploma in Information Science at Egerton University Kenya awaiting graduation. I am expressing my genuine interest and excitement to participate in this cultural exchange program as I'll be able to share my culture, learn and embrace other cultures as well as interact with my host family for memorable experiences. I come from a family of five; my parents, brother,sister and I. I am a very friendly, happy, dynamic, responsible, reliable, productive, open minded, respectful and organized lady who can work perfectly under very little or no supervision. I love travelling, spending time with kids, visiting parks and museums, hiking, riding bicycles, watching documentaries and also sharing and learning new cultures and experiences. I want to be an aupair since I have a deep interest in learning cultures. I want to learn new cultures in other countries and also most importantly I'd be very happy to become a part of a happy family, help the kids and create meaningful connections, memories and lasting bonds. I really enjoy working with kids of all ages. Kids are my greatest inspiration. They are my true love and best friends. They make me happy. In the past years, I've had wonderful experiences working for kids. I have been taking care of my kid cousins by helping them with their assignments, helping them to take a bath and get to sleep, feeding them, dressing them, playing with them and telling them moral stories and understand moral lessons in the story. I also visit our local orphanage to help take care of the kids. During the holidays, I go to the town library to tutor, play and tell moral stories to the junior users (babies) just to help them use their time well and make them happy. I am dedicated to being a respectful and responsible member of my host family. I am also happy and willing to assist with daily household chores and I can easily adapt to your family's routines and needs. I am confident enough and my expectations are that by the end of my period, I'll have gained deeper understanding of the new culture, created memorable moments and lasting bonds with the family and also gained wonderful experience from the family. I am eagerly awaiting to became part of a new happy family, learn new cultures and help in any way I am expected to. Thank you.
