NOVELA, 28 YEARS

ar Host Family, I introduce myself, my name is Novela Erika Margareta Dolla, but my family and friends call me Vela or Vi. I'm 27 years old and I was born on November 12, 1995 in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. I come from Tarakan, North Kalimantan. I am the only child from a small family. My father, Albert Dolla, is 54 years old. He works as an employee in a workshop and my mother, Etmy, is 48 years old. She is a primary school teacher. I love my parents very much. But I don't live with my parents. I currently live in Bali to work as a receptionist at a clinic. About me, I am independent, honest, open, minded, cheerful, like to joke, and like to be in contact with many people or have many friends. I also like to do sports like jogging with my cousin, cycling with her son or my friends and going to gym with my friends. On vacation, I like to go on trips. My favorite is to go to the nature like to the beach and mountains. On weekends, I go to the beach with my family or friends. I like to visit historical museum. And also, I like photography, I capture every moment and opportunity that it gives me, wherever and with whomever, to create memories, because for me every moment and opportunity is not necessarily repeatable, so I immortalize them through photos. And I also like to cook. I can cook like Nasi Goreng, Sayur sop, Noodles or pasta spagetty, or some special khas foods from my hometown, like Palu Mara, Ikan Woku, Binte, Rica-Rica, etc. Maybe we can join to cook together. And then, I am a person who likes cleanliness and tidiness because cleanliness is makes it comfortable and pleasing to the eye. I like to do some light housework like sweeping, washing dishes, tidying up bedrooms or other rooms and watering flowers. I also enjoy being and playing with children. Every day I am with my nephew playing and learning. My nephew's name is Alexander Dastan Christian and he is 2 years old. Twice a week I take him to speech therapy in the hospital because he can't talk yet or speech delay. He likes to play Lego and play slide very much. He likes to draw and paint. And sometimes I read stories for him. I always teach him like drawing, writing, reading and counting. He is very clever and creative. I love him very much. After breakfast I get outside with him, to cycling and sunbathe. Then we ride bike to the park. Before he sleeps, I give him the bottle of milk and I read stories for him. My cousin works from Monday to Friday. So she has free time only on weekends to be with her son and family. On weekends we sometimes go to the beach or to other places of interest. Sunday we go to church. Then we all go for a walk and spend time together. That is very nice to be with them. And I love very much my family. I'm interested and really want to be an Aupair, that's why I studied foreign languages ​​like English because I've always been interested in foreign countries and meeting new people to make friends, tell stories and exchange opinions. I also like children because I'm an only child and don't have siblings, that's why I'm very happy and grateful to have new siblings and family. I'm also curious and want to know how children in Europe grow and learn differently from my home country. I also want to learn what the culture and life of people from other countries are like that are different from mine. Maybe we can both learn from each other and share knowledge from different countries and even exchange thoughts or opinions and tell each other stories. Besides that, I also want to continue to improve my foreign languages ​​such as my English and German. I like to learn new things and have a lot of experiences in my life and also like to take the opportunities that come my way. If there is an opportunity after Aupair, I want to take part in the next program such as Ausbildung or work and have a career in other countries. So that's why I went to college majoring in English literature and also I had an English course too and had an Intermediate English certificate and I also spoke a little German. I had studied German up to A2 level and I already have an A1 level German certificate and I want to continue learning to the next level up to level B2 and even C2. Indonesia other countries in Europe have a lot of cultural different. That's why I learned English and other thing, so that I can have the opportunity to study and have experience abroad and then I can feel the cold snow in winter hahaha 😁 and also I always wanted to have new experiences.
