ANNE, 18 YEARS

Dear Host Family,

I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Anne, and I am excited to have the opportunity to introduce myself to you. I am an almost 18-year-old high school student from a suburb near Munich, Germany. As June approaches, I will be graduating from high school and embarking on an exciting new chapter in my life.

In my pursuit of new experiences, I am eager to spend a year as an au pair, and I am particularly drawn to the idea of living in Italy. Having spent many family vacations exploring various parts of Italy, I have come to appreciate its diverse culture, rich history, and, of course, its delicious food. As Munich is often referred to as the northernmost city in Italy 😉, I feel a strong connection to Italian culture and lifestyle.

My decision to pursue an au pair experience in Italy is also influenced by my love for the Italian language. Over the past four years, I have been studying Italian in school, and I am eager to further develop my language skills through daily interactions and taking italian lessons.

Beyond language and cultural exchange, I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to your family life. During my free time, I enjoy dancing hip hop, playign the viola, and spending time with friends. I also have a passion for music and enjoy attending concerts whenever I can.

To support myself financially, I have been working part-time at a local bakery and as a babysitter. Additionally, I have gained valuable experience through internships in homework assistance and providing afternoon care during music events organized by my music school.
