PRINCESS, 29 YEARS

Au pair Experience Summary: Denmark (August 2020-August 2022): During my time in Denmark, my schedule was less hectic compared to Norway, but I adhered to the required working hours. My host parents, who are very hands-on with their three children aged 10, 7, and 3, occasionally needed my help in the mornings, especially when they had early meetings. I also picked up the younger children from school two to three times a week and provided babysitting when required after school or some evenings. Cooking dinners based on YouTube recipes, tidying up, laundry duties, and caring for their puppy were also part of my responsibilities. Norway (August 2018-August 2020): In Norway, I cared for three children, ages 7 and 4 (twins when I arrived). My responsibilities included getting them ready for school each day—waking them up, preparing breakfast and lunchboxes, and escorting them to and from school. In the afternoons, I picked up the twins, engaged in household chores such as tidying up and laundry, and often prepared dinners and baked using Norwegian recipes. Additionally, I provided weekly babysitting sessions that involved crafting activities or trips to the nearby forest, activities that the children greatly enjoyed. In addition , I currently assist with caring for two toddlers at home, aged 3 and 4 months, who are my nieces. After finishing my work, I immediately head home to take over babysitting duties from my mother. This involves putting the baby to sleep, feeding them milk, changing diapers, and engaging them in activities when they are awake.
