ANJELYN, 26 YEARS

To all host family, Hi there! My name is Anjie, I am 26 years old from the Philippines. I always dreamed of traveling, meet good people, experience different cultures and learn great languages of the world. Becoming an Au Pair is a big opportunity for me and my biggest stepping stone of pursuing and achieving this dream of mine. I believe that I am a strong candidate of becoming an Au Pair because of my patience, flexibility, maturity and of course my emotional support and physical care. I also believe that I am a person who is reliable, adaptable, emphatic and I always strive to make the most of every experience. I understand the importance of being a role model and ensuring the family feel safe, supported, and valued. Although I am just starting my journey of becoming an Au Pair, I somehow have had experience with children. From an early age, I took care of my younger cousins since I am an only child (1-5 years old) and often times with my other relatives (6 - 10 years old), helping them with homework, organizing activities, or simply offering emotional support, making sure they were safe, and happy. Over the years, I’ve learned how to be patient, responsible, and creative when it comes to engaging kids. I would love to spend time with my host kids and do fun activities together, read them stories, joke and laugh with them, help them with school-works, walk them to and from school, teach them kind things to do and words to say, do hobbies they love to do, talk to them openly, and any other fun stuffs that would both of us learn from and that could be a core memory for us two! Since I am an Agriculture graduate, I would like to share also my experience to nature and help the kids to be outside and just simply teach them how to take care of plants aside from indoor activities. I am also happy to assist with household chores and help with any other tasks that would make your life easier and happier. But in terms of cooking, I honestly do have experiences, especially pancakes, pasta and salad. I would happily share also some healthy and good Filipino dishes that I know. Aside from that I am also willing to learn some recipes from books or directly from the internet or from the family and I will try my very best in making it look and taste GOOD. I also would like to describe myself as someone who is open-minded, calm, independent, communicative and a smiley person. I am always eager to learn new things, take on challenges, and connect with people especially with kids that will surely have all my love. I am someone who loves to walk along nature, loves to eat ice-cream as a stress-reliever, loves to take pictures and videos of scenic views, places, things and people that surrounds me for me to cherish forever. In my free time of my every-day life I have always been watching movies and series that the genre is specifically focused on rom-com, drama, adventure, and family. This is the main reason I have been somehow romanticizing and have been positive all my life in whatever comes my way. I am truly excited about the possibility of becoming a part of your family and contribute to the positive atmosphere of your household. Mabuhay!
