BERNADETTE, 26 YEARS

Dear Host Family, I am excited to be an au pair for your family! Although I do not have formal experience as an au pair overseas, I bring a strong background in childcare and babysitting. I can also help out with light housework. A bit of background about me, I love taking care of kids, interract with them and nurture them. Not to brag, but my siblings and younger cousins say that I'm the best big sister! Over the years, I have provided childcare for children between ages 3-12 developing a deep understanding of their needs and interests. My experience includes planning engaging activities, ensuring a safe environment, and helping with homework. I have also learned to communicate effectively with both children and parents, building trusting relationships that foster a positive atmosphere. I speak English fluently and I know a little bit of Spanish. I'm very much interested in learning new languages and be in an environment where I can practice and improve. I wanted to try being an au pair because I am interested in traveling and learning new cultures. Having a host family would ease a lot of my worries because I won't be entirely alone. I'd like to share my own culture as well to your family while I am learning yours.
