ANGELICA, 26 YEARS

Dear future host family, My name is Angelica and I'm a 25 year old Filipino woman who is a certified Caregiver. I'm the youngest in my family of eight siblings. I have 10 nephew’s and 13 niece’s who I love dearly. I’m especially close with one of my sisters and her son who lives in my area back in the Philippines. My mother passed away in 2021, and I took care of her until her passing. I thereafter lived with my father. I'm a neat and tidy person, easy going, flexible and have an easy time adapting to new routines and environments. I'm patient, reliable and understanding. I'm a good listener and fast learner with a love for children. I enjoy music, arts and crafts, animals and the outdoors. In the future I want to move to Sweden and become a nurse. I'm genuinely caring, passionate, patient, reliable, understanding, a good listener and loyal. I enjoy working as an Au Pair, growing as a person, learn about different cultures, languages, gaining new life experiences, caring for other people. I believe I would be an excellent addition to your family, providing good care and offering your family loads of fun and excitement while still being professional. I'm a certified Caregiver with working experience as well as training and community service experience through my education. I've been trained in bed bath the elderly, measuring vital signs, bed making, basic life support and CPR, feeding and burping babies, sterilizing and bottling formula for babies, ROM exercise, preparing meals, medication abbreviation, cleaning, perineal care, oral care, moving up in bed, transferring from bed to wheelchair and vice versa. Worth mentioning is also that I used to work as a live-in maid, so I'm used to housework, cooking etc. I have additional child care experience from caring for my nephew since infancy, other family member's children as well as friend's children. Currently I’m also gaining experience from caring for the three lovely children of my Host family, one of which has special needs. I enjoy the company of children, and I’ve also learned a lot from all of them. I'm adventurous, I want to expand my knowledge and gain new life experiences. I'm a good listener, very patient and passionate, understanding, easy going and fast learner. Some of my interests are reading books and drawing, playing outdoor sports such as swimming and volleyball. My hobbies are watching documentaries and reading books, amongst other things. I love to learn and explore new things, such as new languages and cultures. I’m currently staying with a Host family in Germany, and will be staying here until around April 2025. After my year in Germany, I’d love to go straight away to Sweden and work for a family as an au pair or caregiver.
