LORRAINE, 33 YEARS

Hello to my future host Family,

Good day. My name is Lorraine Dumalpan. I am 26 years old Female, single and physically fit to work. I am from Buguias Benguet Philippines. I am the youngest child in 7 siblings in the family. I would describe myself as reliable, i am a creative thinker, i can work independently. I am active, initiative, responsibility, independence and efficiency. I am an extremely fun, easy going and hard working person. At my young age I helped my parents to do all the household chores and taking care of my siblings. At the beginning I looked after my little cousins and my niece.

My child care duties is I do taking care of 4 member of the family with 2 children. 4 year old and 8 year old both girls. My normal working hours is start from 6:00 until 21:00. I am focus on quality childcare. I am responsible for child-related housekeeping duties. Includes playing and interacting with kids. Bathing and dressing children. Bringing them to school and activities. Playing with the kids. Doing arts and crafts, reading books and assisting with homework.Taking children to parks and playgrounds. Making children's beds. changing sheets, Tidying up their rooms and bathrooms. Babysitting. I also have experienced taking care of pet & animals like dog, cat, chicken, hamster and rabbit

I want to gain more experiences abroad. I like travelling, discovering the beauty of other places and people. I enjoy cooking, I can cook different kinds of dishes (more on Filipino dishes) And i am willing to learn more other recipes. For my hobbies, I love cooking so I keep on discovering different kind of food and delicacies. I do Zumba dance workout, I like listening to music, I also enjoyed reading books and watching movie. I applied as an au pair not only because I love working with kids but also because of the genuine experience I can get from this program. I believe that au pair will help me enhance my skills and widen my knowledge about many things in life. I would like to come to Europe because I would like to integrate in different family with a different set of values, norms, culture and traditions than I am used to. I heard that Scandinavian host families are friendly and nice. I love kids and enjoy making people happy and I love to help the family to take care of their kids and doing household chores.

My expectations of my stay there, are to help the busy family to make their life easier, and to participates in your family's domestic chores like cleaning, cooking, organizing, washing and ironing clothes, and babysitting. I also expect that my future host family will treat me as a human being.
