Dear Host Family, I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Jessica, from the Philippines and I am excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family as an au pair. I want to take this chance to introduce myself, share a bit about my background, and express my enthusiasm for this journey. I am a licensed professional teacher with a strong passion for education and childcare. My training and studies have equipped me with the skills to nurture and guide children in their learning and development. I am eager to apply my knowledge in a real-life setting and gain valuable hands-on experience while being a responsible and caring au pair. I have always had a strong passion for cultural exchange, childcare, and learning new things. I come from the Philippines and grew up in a close-knit family who’s warm, loving, and taught me the importance of kindness, respect, and understanding. I have two siblings, and I am the eldest, I have always taken on a nurturing and responsible role in our household, helping to take care of younger siblings as they grow older. This experience has helped me develop a natural sense of responsibility, patience, and care. Beyond my educational background, I enjoy reading books, exploring different cultures through literature and music, and learning new languages. I also love engaging in creative activities such as arts and crafts, storytelling, and cooking, which I believe will be beneficial in keeping children entertained. Additionally, I have a deep interest in child development and education, which has inspired me to take on this journey as an au pair.
