SAMUEL, 23 YEARS

Dear host family. My name is Samuel and I am a 22-year old man from Denmark, who wishes to explore the life in Roma. I would like to work as an au pair, because I have one and a half year work experience from a integrated nursery and kindergarten. I love working with kids. They are fun and they tell the truth. During my time in the Kindergarten, I have been given tasks that were beyond my level, as taking care of kids with special needs or teaching kids in different activities, without help from a real kindergarten teacher. My two biggest lessons from my time in the kindergarten are: One, to be a good example for the kids, so they always have someone to reflect themselves in. The second is to stay calm, no matter how many kids screaming. I'm also a certified ski instructor from Canada. So if you and your kids like skiing, I can teach you how to ski as well. Since I lived in Canada for half a year, I can help the kids with their english essays and tasks too. Currently, I'm studying acting and filmmaking in Copenhagen - The capitol of Denmark and my studies end in june 2024. That is actually the main reason why I would like to go to Roma, to study acting in Roma. My plan is to apply for the two state schools in Roma. Although I don't speak italian yet, I will be taking italian courses during the first 3 - 4 months of my time in Roma. Since I have these plans of mine, I hope we can have an understanding of each others wishes. Besides acting and children care, I'm a very positive and funny guy. I really believe that a positive and calm mind is key to everything in life. It's important to me to keep a good tone, no matter what. In my freetime I like to do cooking with my friends. Actually, I dreamed about being a chef before dreaming about acting. Cooking is something I can provide, too. I love to do sports as well, such as; Dancing, martial arts, swimming and surfing. Though I know Italy is a big football country, so I better tell I played football the first seven years of my life. I'm specifically looking for a family who is nice and grounded and who of course has some wonderful kids. The kids age don't really matter to me, although I do prefer older kids, as we can have longer conversations. I would love a family where we can swish between english and Italian. Though, my vision is to speak Italian fluently, so I hope we can gradually speak more and more Italian, as I become better, hopefully. Since I have my acting plans, I hope we can find a solution for that too. I'm also looking for a family, who can offer a room where I can live.
