SILJE, 22 YEARS

My name is Silje, I am a graduate of Rosborg Gymnasium & HF. As of now, I work as a substitute teacher at two different primary schools but I'm looking for a new challenge abroad. I feel that I could be a valuable asset to a family, and bring to the table all of the care and responsibility that you require in an au pair. I worked as an au pair in Greenland for four months back in 2022. My host family consisted of a mom and dad plus their one year old son. The four months in Greenland were some of the most impactful months of my life and I can honestly say that I grew as a person. I would love to tell you more about my time there, but that will have to wait for the sake of my host family’s privacy. So a little about myself. I'm an optimistic person - I like to think that a lot of things work out in the end. With that said, I'm a realist and I believe that honesty is the way through life. I'm open-minded and I love to take on new challenges. I have plans to study psychology in the future here in Denmark. Children's development and well-being is interesting to me so I have a lot of knowledge on that front. I have a diverse work experience but I've always been leaning more towards a workplace with children. From the year 2015 to 2018, I frequently took care of a young boy named Børge. Taking care of him was one of the great privileges in my life. Seeing him grow and turn into the kid he is today is wonderful. I'm still in contact with Børge and I've become a part of the family. My work as a substitute teacher is something that I’m enjoying. Teaching is one thing, but the bond that I have with some of my students is the best part about the job.
