LIV, 24 YEARS

Hello, my name is Addy Nii and I am 23 years old. I want to tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up in southern Ghana, Accra, close to the sea. Growing up, I got an understanding of our beautiful nature and the resources we have, that has a big impact on the human being I am today. I am looking for a family who could be interested in me being a part of the family and helping with everyday life routine and taking care of the children. Among my personal skills, I would highlight that I have a patient approach to things and act calmly and ready to act in stressful situations. I am creative and good at coming up with good solutions to the problems that may arise. And fundamentally I am passionate; I put my soul into everything I do. Cooking skills: My mom showed me how to cook from an early age, and it developed into a passion for being creative in the kitchen. I have worked in a restaurant for two years, Experiences with childcare: I have been taking care of children from newborns to 14 years old. I have a lot of experiences with childcare because of the community I grew up in. We take care of neighbours' children, when they are not around. Going to school from 2019 to 2021, I cared for my 1 year old nephew everyday after school and on the weekends. I developed patience, and my focus was on safety and emotional well-being to make sure he had all the love and support in his environment. In May 2024 I taught creative lessons with a class at St Nicholas Mission Academy Kokrobite, where my girlfriend and I showed a class of 31 children from 8-11 years old how to recycle paper materials. My Theater group: I am a part of the Theater group WAYEOK. I am really engaged in our plays, because acting means a lot to me and I love performing on a stage. I see our performances help raise awareness about West Africa history and native stories. We have been to Germany twice to perform. Language: I am a native English speaker and I speak German A1. I really want to learn Danish while staying with the family.
