WANG, 22 YEARS

ello, dear future family. My name is Wang Yidan and my English name is Mathilda, because I want to be a brave girl to explore the world. I come from Wuxi of China, which nears Shanghai. It’s a small but beautiful city. I’m 22 years old and now I am a student of Wenzheng College of Suzhou University, majoring in advertising. I will graduate this June. Next, I will introduce my family, my interaction with children and my hobbies and skills. This is my extended family. We usually have a reunion at Chinese New Year. This is my daddy, he is a responsible person who has taken me to many places and given me a lot of security. This is my mum, she is an outgoing and open-minded lady. She's always been supportive of my ideas. This is my grandfather. He is a professor and I often discuss academics with him. These cats are Ugly and Grey. They are also members of our family. We all love them very much. OK, let’s show my interaction with children. I had an internship with children for three months at a TV station. The children’s age around 6 to 12 years old. My job involves teaching kids to use the camera and leading them in a variety of activities. When I was working, I always played games with them. While playing with children, they would share funny things with me and give me a big hug, which made me very happy. Also, I had worked as a teaching assistant at an educational institution. I was responsible for supervising children to complete their homework and sometimes teaching them English. My students and I are more like friends and some of them still keep in touch with me. I have lots of hobbies, such as taking photos, cooking and travelling. I love taking photos and I use camera to record my life every day. Also, I often take some videos and try to make some vlogs. Looking back at what I have recorded every time, I find that my life is also colorful. At home, I often do some cooking. I can cook a lot of Chinese food and some desserts, such as egg tarts and cakes. The moment the food is finished gives me a sense of accomplishment. I like this feeling! I also like traveling, to see different scenery, people and their lives. I've been to many cities, such as Hangzhou, Xi'an and Chengdu. I want to feel all the good in the world. I also love sports. At school, I often run, jump rope and play badminton with my friends. Sweating makes me feel excited. Both my high school and college elective sports courses are volleyball, so I have some experience in playing volleyball. I would be happy to exercise with children and teach them some sports skills.
