EMMA, 20 YEARS

Hello, my name is Emma I’m 19 years old and I studied health and social in high school along side travel and tourism in college . I have a passion to become a flight attendant as I love the satisfaction of providing people with a great service and ensuring they’re safe and happy within the service provided . I have a lot of experience working with infants and toddlers as I studied health and social in high school as we went to nursery’s to look after toddlers and to learn how to looking after and take care of them (TLC) I also spent my time looking after my best friends brother who was on the autism spectrum as some times her parents would be out working and my friend could find it difficult to help all alone so I was always there to offer my help and guidance aswell as taking care of her brother (Lewis) needs . This helped me have a greater understanding of equality and diversity that even though people are different, they should be treated equally. Having integrity morals and values. Making a few adjustments can make all the difference towards a person’s life. Enhancing their lives and participating in activities. I also did this voluntary as the child’s mother was a single parent and I no she may have been struggling as she didn’t work , Just to watch her go for an hour for some respite made me happy as she spends a lot of time caring for her child. I have an elderly neighbor and regularly help her with errands or jobs this could be walking her dog or engaging in some light shopping for her. I use my initiative when items are not available and find her an alternative keeping within her budget and within her needs. I engage by communicating, giving her the empowerment which gives herself a sense of worth and value by giving her over all control on decision making. I truly love working with young kids, and I approach each child as an individual who I get to help grow and teach. I am a very dependable, trustworthy, patient and a very caring person. A highly motivated, dedicated and detail-attentive individual with a desirable combination of skills acquired during studies and work experience, now looking for an invaluable opportunity within a home with high standards representative of own values. Effective and practical organiser with excellent communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and ability to develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with your family and children . I get great satisfaction out of helping others. I’m an excellent listener and I’m very fun and engaging which I’d say are all the perfect skills to being a great au pair.
