DAIANA, 21 YEARS

I am Daiana, I am 19 years old and I am from Argentina, yes as you read well from Argentina, it may sound a little crazy but the AuPair program is available to us as well. I assure you, you won’t regret it. I live with my grandparents, Jorge and Cristina, in Villa Elisa, a small city in Entre Rios, Argentina. I’ve been living with my grandparents since I was 6 months old. Therefore, I consider my grandparents to be my parents. They’re very important for me! I also have twins siblings (Katherine and Dominic) and 1 stepbrother (Rodrigo) who I usually take care of. I love them! My family is big, I have a lot of uncles, aunts and cousins. In reference to myself, I’m an active, energetic, optimist person, also extroverted, confident, sociable, responsible and kind. I like challenges and I’m constantly learning new things. I’m open-minded, modern and adapt easily to new ways of living. The most important thing for me is to establish ties with people around me and immerse in a familiar environment. I finished my secondary school in 2019 and I’m studying Therapeutic Companian at University. In my free time, I like spending time with my family, drinking mate with my friends, riding on a horse, cooking, watching movies or football (soccer) matches with my granddad. I love soccer! I also enjoy going to the countryside, taking care of my animals and plants, being in close contact with nature, reading books, listening to music, playing board games, acting, dancing and going to parties or music festivals. I’ve a beautiful group of friends to whom I tell all my secrets and share important things of my life. I know that they will always be there for me, I love them! Finally, another very important thing for me is helping children in need. I actively contribute to local shelters and charities and I love devoting part of my free time to assist in food-providing campaigns to help those in more vulnerable conditions. I’d like to be an au pair because I’m a big fan of children. I love playing with them, and teaching them things and learning together. I also think this is great opportunity to improve my English, to learn new language, to meet new people and places and, of course, to exchange about our cultures, if you think it is a good idea I could teach Spanish to children, since it is also the second most spoken in the world.. Besides, I believe that everybody has a little child in our hearts so spending time with children is always nurturing and rewarding. About my childcare experience: I started being a Nanny of an Autistic kid when he was 1 years old, his name is Simón and I still take care of him up until this day. He is a bright, talented kid and I enjoy spending time with him. I used to go to Kindergarten to help the teachers twice a week, also I had some students whom I helped with English as a Foreign Language subject at school. We used to meet twice a week for an hour or 2, until they successfully passed all their exams. Also I'm taking care of 2 amazing kids, Gabriel (11) & Andrés (8), and I also help to two children with their homework. It was challenging but a really nice and rewarding experience. I really want to make this program! I’ like to find a family who is as happy as I’m about this new experience. I’m confident this will happen. A lot of love, Dai.
