MUKASHYAKA, 27 YEARS

Dear host family, My name is Liza, a 26 years old girl whom was born and grew up in Kigali(Rwanda). I graduted from Secondary school in Pedagogy at Institut mavuno . I enjoy learning new languages and spending time with children. I speak French, Swahili as Native speaker, English fluent , a little bit German (A2 level), and of course Kinyarwanda as my mother tongue. I am hardworking, reliable , responsible and honest.I have enough experience in taking care of children and not only I have volunteered but also I worked in a one of Day Care Program in Rwanda I decided to become an Au Pair because being around the children makes me happy and from that I have developed ability to communicate with them easily. I have learnt that Communication plays a big part in having best relationship young ones. My passion for working with children and their well being has led me to volunteer and work in a "Day Care Program" with over 100 children in Kigali the Capital City of Rwanda as previously mentioned and this is one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. From there, I have got enough experience of taking care of children between 6months and 12 years old with their different behaviors. My main duties were feeding, showering, changing diapers, dressing, entertainment, medication, supervision, homework, studying and playing with them etc. I understood that being like a sister and good listener to children builds a strong bond. Not only that but also I know that it is not always just playing and laughing but according to my experience I know how to handle every problem and questions they may come up with. I have also learnt that giving full love to children is one key to being their best friends.Once children allow you to become their best friends, that plays a big part in your relationship with them. So with all this experience, when I found out about the Au Pair Program I felt like it was designed for me and to spend time with these Angels(children) is the main reason I want to be part of it and I think it is a great way to learn about new cultures, language and to experience life in another country. If you are looking for a calm, responsible, nice, patient, loving, curious, proactive,flexible and understanding person, I am the one. During my free time I enjoy spend time with my family and friends . My hobbies are playing around with children as I have already said, reading books, jogging,walking ,cooking, hiking, and playing football . After an Au-pair program I would like to pursue my career in Pedagogy in Rwanda.
