WESTON, 21 YEARS

Dear Future Host Family, It is a great pleasure to become acquainted with you! My name is Weston, and I am 21 years old. I grew up in Los Angeles, California, surfing, skateboarding and riding dirt bikes, but for the last few years, I have lived in a small town outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. While I appreciate the vastness and diversity of the United States, I am passionate about experiencing different cultures and scenery. A little background on why I’d love to be an au pair: Growing up with three younger brothers, I have always been surrounded by children and took on a caregiving role from an early age. This experience has given me a natural ability to connect with and care for kids. Additionally, I have regularly helped family friends by babysitting their children, which has further strengthened my skills in childcare. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, engaging in activities that stimulate their creativity and learning. I am reminded time and again how much we can learn from peers of all ages. I believe it is enriching for children to be exposed to people with diverse backgrounds and experiences from a young age. I have been fortunate to meet people from all over the world through my travels, and if I can make a difference and inspire or influence the childhood or adolescence of one or two children, it would be a dream come true. I am a dedicated and hardworking individual with a great passion for being around children and adolescents. I have all basic household skills like cooking, laundry, and cleaning. I am excited, happy, and easy-going, but I also believe in maintaining discipline and doing what’s right when the choice is put in front of me. I am very flexible with circumstances. What’s most important to me is finding a family where I am a good fit and feel welcome, so I can contribute positively and make everyone’s life a little bit easier. I recently returned from a 14-month backpacking trip where I met my girlfriend, Lykke, who is from Fredericia , Denmark. Through her, I discovered the wonders your country has to offer. I have even learned Danish and can speak at an intermediate level. Jeg vil gerne øve med dig!
