Dear future au pair,

We are a Danish family of four and we are looking for you to help us out in our daily life. Susan is 43 and a director in a Payment company, Brian 43 and is a teacher, Silke is 18 and attends a school that qualifies her for university and Daniel will be 11 in August and will attend 5th grade after the holidays. It is important that you like animals as we have a dog, a cat, a rabbit, 4 chinchillas, 2 birds and fish.

We need you to help us with the house - mainly - as both Daniel and Silke are so big they can take care of themselves most of the time. Of course if Daniel is sick you will look after him, but other than that we need you to help out with the house - clean, wash clothes etc. and it will be great if you can help out with the cooking also. We also need you to be OK with staying home alone (or with your friends staying over) and looking after the animals, when we visit friends and family in other parts of Denmark and when we travel for other purposes.

We have had an au pair for 2 years from Bohol, she is in Norway now, but if you consider us as family we will set up, so you can speak with her and hear more about us. We would expect a reference on you also (well - not if you are in Denmark and looking to change family, of course).

We want someone who is already in Europe, but please keep in mind that where you are now has to be your first au pair stay or you cannot get a permission to stay in Denmark. If you are already in Denmark and looking to change family that will be great too, but of course we are not looking to steal you away from anyone.

We will expect you to learn Danish, but besides this you will find that we are very flexible and you will have a lot of free time.

We are flexible on when you can start, but preferable it will be as soon as possible.
