Dear future host family, Hi! How are you? Thank you for showing interest to view my profile. My name is Gabrielle, and I am 28 years old coming from the beautiful islands of the Philippines. I am very interested to experience life in Europe as an Au Pair where I can find a host family that I can feel home away from home, and here is a short background about my self. I currently work in a non-profit organization in the Philippines where we implement development projects to people living below the poverty live, especially helping and educating kids. But aside from my background in non-profit for children, I also have experience in working as a nanny here in the Philippines. I have taken care of a 8 year old whose family has a single mom who migrated from Alaska to the Philippines. I basically do everything for the family, especially that the mother is a solo parent. I do light to hard household chores, take care of the kid at home and at school, playing with him (the 8-year old kid), and teach him. There were also several years when I took care of my nieces and nephews if their parents requested me during their busy times at work. Being exposed with both as a nanny and in the non-profit, I have always seen the importance of creating a safe and comfortable space for children to have fun, learn, and grow. I love kids, especially when we play together, because I am also a kid at heart. <3 Life in the Philippines is simple and warm because all my family and friends take care of each other, even during the challenging times of life. I come from a closely-tied family background. I have a sister who is 2 years younger than me, my mom and my dad. I also have fur babies at home. We have 4 dogs and 3 cats, and we also consider them members of our little family. I love my family so much. I am also close with my relatives-my aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents. I also take good care of my nieces and nephews... We are also a big extended family. We see to it that we celebrate at least 1 occasion together every year, especially on the holidays. I love my family so much and they are my number one inspiration in life. As a candidate for Au Pair, my strengths are really focused on spending time have fun learning with kids, because of my work background. I am also great at doing household chores because I was trained by my parents to be helpful with chores since I was a teenager. I am also very passionate in cooking. I love to search for new recipes, and I get delighted every time I make people smile and make their stomach full because of the food I prepared. I am also very fluent in English. I also love swimming and diving, and even made it my sport in high school and college. I am also a health-conscious person and does not do any smoking. Alcohol is only for special occasions that are mostly family gathering. I was raised by my parents to eat nutritious food like fruits and vegetables. My personality is generally fun, easy-going and good-natured. On my free time, I love to swim and dive at the beach. I enjoy nature and travel as much as I can. If I have more spare time, I also help with volunteer work. I also read as much as my time permits. I hope that you will consider me as a good candidate for your au pair. I am very much willing to work with you in the best way I can. I will also be willing to share visa or flight expenses if there is a need to do so.
