LORRAINE, 25 ÅR

Dear Host Family, My name is Lorraine, I from the Philippines and I am 25 years old, single and no child/children. I am the eldest among the three sisters of my parents. We have also one dog and one cat, both male, which my parents considered them as their children so basically they are our siblings. As the eldest daughter, I am responsible to support the family financially and parents rely on some responsibilities within the family. I am interested to be an AuPair as I am enthusiastic, patient, adaptable and committed to providing nurturing and fun environment for children. I have experience interacting with kids. First, from my younger cousins, I took care of my cousins (3 of them) 2 months old baby, 1 year old and 2 years old. Their father is an OFW while their mother does the house chores all day (laundry, ,cleaning, cooking). My job was to bath, feed and entertain the children, make sure that they don't go outside the house because their mother is not allowing them to go out, so what I did is make them watch educational cartoons, do educational activities (reading, singing related to Christianity) and play with them. While for the months old baby, my job was to bath feed and make him sleep so that I can play with his older sister and brother. Secondly, I was a teacher of grade schoolers for a short period of time when I was in 4th yr college, we were required to teach children in grade school (3rd-5th grade) for us to finish the degree and we did it once in a week for a month, like doing the teaching stuff in school. Additionally, I also do light household chores like doing the laundry, cleaning and shopping. I would like also to be an Au Pair because I love to explore, wander or travel different countries and unfamiliar places and maybe in this way I can achieve this goal. I would like also to meet other people from different countries to learn their culture which is an opportunity and help me to enrich myself as a person. I am sometimes an energetic person depends on the activity I would like to do. I can play volleyball and even basketball as well. I can also sing and dance and honestly, I'm a fan of Kpop. I once dreamed to be a performer like in musical theater but because of financial needs, we cannot afford a school that has the course for it. I like to watch movies and series (genre: fantasy, drama, fictional, horror). I sometimes also read ebooks in English language, like inspirational ebooks or about experiences in life ebooks and fictional as well which helps me to enrich my vocabulary. I can drive also which I can use this if my host needs me to drive. I can drive sedan and SUV (with experience) and I have a driver's license here in the Philippines. I am passionate and caring. I am a person with integrity and flexible when it comes to work responsibilities. I am a person who can adapt quickly enough to different places, environment and situations.
