Dear Host Family, I’m Ugwu Cynthia, My friends and close family call me Cindy. A 26 years old from Nigeria. A University graduate in Higher National Diploma from Institute of management and technology Enugu in November 2022. I live in Enugu, a beautiful city in Nigeria, located in Africa. I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible person. I love taking care of kids, their health, safety, and happiness are the most important to me. I come from a large family, being one of 15 grand children, with younger siblings. My mother is one of 5 and my family all live within a close range to each other and as a result we see each other a lot! I am part of a very close family, and as a result my close inner circle of friend is also often viewed as ‘‘FAMILY‘‘ I cherish and value them, because they’re a very important part of my life. I would like to take a gap year to be part of a new culture, improve on the new language and get to explore a new country, meet new people, our interactions would be the best as we’d get to exchange culture and make so many fun memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations. I love learning and exploring and am sure my gap year would really be amazing both to me and my host family. I am outgoing and super fun, I am so passionate about children and find it so easy to bond with them. My love for kids is unconditional, and taking care of them requires lots of strength, love and patience to keep the home and kids happy. I can ignore my comfort for the peace of the kids under my care. Through my years of experience, I have acquired the necessary virtues needed to care for children. I would describe my strength as an Aupair as the ability to bond really well with kids and also blending in very easily and as a result being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big sister, also the ability to learn from my mistakes. On the other hand, I would describe my weakness as an Aupair as having a hard time letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children especially and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them. I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one 1year or more depending on the connection formed with the family. I am responsible and hope to be a part of your family so we can share the wonderful experience. I really am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
