We are thrilled to welcome a caring and dependable "big sister" to become part of our family here in the vibrant heart of Durham City, USA! Our family includes two wonderful children, ages 3 and 4, who fill our home with joy and energy. We believe the role of a big sister is essential in fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, and we’re looking for someone with a genuine love for children and a commitment to raising them with patience and warmth. The big sister schedule will run Monday through Friday, leaving weekends free for you to explore and enjoy all that the city has to offer. We take pride in maintaining a calm, loving, and peaceful household focused on emotional well-being, affection, and steady guidance for our kids. We seek someone who shares these values—someone mature, grounded, and who embraces a healthy lifestyle. We also prefer someone who’s comfortable with our choice to limit our children’s media exposure, as we focus more on creative play, learning, and outdoor activities. While we have a cleaning service for all deep cleaning, including the bathroom you’ll use, we do ask that everyone in the household pitches in with daily tasks. This includes helping with dishes after meals, taking out the trash, and other light chores to help our home run smoothly. Since both children attend school, we’ll need support in the mornings to help get them ready and drive them to school, conveniently located near our home. We provide an au pair car for this purpose, so comfort with driving is important. If you don’t drive yet, no worries—we just ask that you’re open to learning!
