MARIA, 20 JAHRE

Hi, I'm Maria, I’m 20 years old and I come from Italy. I am currently based in Copenhagen to start a Bachelor’s degree in Pædagogik at Kőbenhavn Universitet. As of now, I am studying Danish through "KISS" Sprogcenter and by the end of November I will get the C1. Working with children has always been my greatest passion. I would love to find a welcoming family with whom I can spend the months before starting university. I also started working here in Copenhagen as a babysitter, so I already know the school hours here. I’m part of an Italian theatrical troupe, "Terrammare teatro" mainly targeting with children’s theater. I took part in three shows, all for children between 3 to 5 and 8 to 12 years old. The troupe is also responsible for yearly theatre workshops for kids aged 5 to 10, which I’ve personally worked on for four years. The work has always been focused on listening to the children and developing their individuality. Since was 16 babysitting was part of my life and I’ve taken care of many children, especially in the age between 1 and 4. I am a solar girl, but also reserved and very independent. Thanks to my experience with children, I have developed my imagination a lot and I find it very easy to play with them. I love animals, I have always grown up with cats and dogs at home. I love walking outdoors, having new experiences and being helpful. I’m also very practical about housework. I'm very creative, I know many songs to sing and many ways to have fun together, through movement and creativity. When I’m with children, I always try to be a kid again too. I really enjoy being with them and I see it as an important growth for the person I want to become.
