Dear Future Host Family, Hello! My name is Maria Fernanda, but you can call me Mary. I am 23 years old and I come from the vibrant city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. I am writing to you with great excitement and anticipation as I embark on this journey to become an Au Pair in the United States, and I can't wait to become a part of your family. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I recently graduated in Architecture and Urbanism, and while I'm passionate about my field of study, I've always had a love for traveling and experiencing new cultures. That's why the opportunity to become an Au Pair resonated with me so deeply - it allows me to combine my love for caring for children with my desire to explore new places. Speaking of caring for children, I come from a large and loving family where taking care of each other has always been a priority. I have three little nephews and one little cousin whom I've had the joy of helping to raise. From changing diapers to playing games, I've cherished every moment spent with them. They have taught me patience, compassion, and the importance of nurturing young minds. Outside of my family, I have been working diligently in the field of architecture since 2021. Currently, I am preparing for a public competition that will take place nationwide. Despite the demands of my profession, I always make time for the things I love, like studying new languages, reading romance novels, and, of course, spending time with children. In fact, caring for children brings me immense joy. There's something magical about witnessing their curiosity and watching them learn and grow. It fills my heart with warmth and reminds me of the simple joys in life. I must also mention that I am fluent in Portuguese and English, with intermediate skills in Spanish. Communication is essential to me, and I'm committed to ensuring clear and open lines of communication with you and your family. As I prepare for this new chapter in my life, I can't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation.
